This Is How Much The Undertaker Is Really Worth
The Undertaker is an absolute pro wrestling legend. He began burying opponents in the ring in the 1980s, and according to his official WWE bio, he made his debut in that promotion in 1990. He has pretty much dominated the WWE ever since. He’s had epic showdowns with everyone from Hulk Hogan to Triple H to Jake “The Snake” Roberts to Shawn Michaels to Mankind — and basically everybody else who has ever eaten at the top of the WWE food chain. Oh, and who could forget his vicious rivalry with his long-lost brother Kane?
And as you might expect, this kind of reputation means that The Undertaker can pretty much name his price for entering the ring. According to Wrestling Inc., he was charging as much as $25,000 an hour — that’s right, per hour — for non-WWE gigs in 2018, so Vince McMahon wrote a ridiculously large number onto a de facto lifetime contract that the Deadman would have been crazy — or actually dead — not to have signed. So just how much is The Undertaker really worth these days? Let’s take a look at the Grim Reaper’s finances and see.
Hey Undertaker: You can't take it with you when you go
The Undertaker sure has taken a beating during his three decades in the ring. He’s had well over a dozen surgeries as a result of his willingness to feed our Monday night bloodlust, so you can bet he’s made sure to get well paid for his services. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the Lord of Darkness racked up a red hot $17 million during his phenomenal wrestling career. He lives with his wife in Austin, Texas, and has used some of the fortune he earned in the ring to start a charity that focuses on vital treatments for large breed dogs. According to Fight State, it’s called The Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals Fund, named after a dog he had when he was still with his ex-wife Sara Calaway. Zeus had a life-threatening blood condition and died in 2004, so they started the fund to help other animals with life-threatening conditions.
Who knows what The Undertaker will get up to now that he’s retired. Maybe he’ll finally wipe away the years of eyeliner, put on a pair of old high-top sneakers, and get back into playing basketball, like he did before becoming The Last Outlaw. Long live the Lord of Darkness.
