Justin Thomas Is Worth A Lot More Than You Think
Justin Thomas was born on April 29, 1993 in Louisville, Kentucky. Per Britannica, he is from a golfing family; his father/swing coach served as Head Professional at the Harmony Landing Country Club in Goshen, Kentucky, and his grandfather became a professional golfer as a teenager and played in the 1962 U.S. Open.
Justin didn’t turn pro until he was 20 in 2013, but he did finish third on a PGA Tour event as a junior in high school, becoming the third-youngest golfer to play on the PGA Tour. In 2012 he played for the University of Alabama and won both the Haskins and Nicklaus awards, which go to the country’s top collegiate golfer of the year.
Thomas won his first tournament as a pro on the 2014 Web.com tour and his first PGA tournament at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia in 2016. He has shot some of the lowest scores in golfing history. For instance, he became the youngest player in PGA history to shoot under 60 when he shot a 59 at the 2017 Sony Open in Hawaii. According to Celebrity Net Worth, in 2017 Thomas also won PGA Player of the Year and PGA Tour Player of the Year, and was FedEx Cup Champion.

Thomas is particularly lucky that he has so many millions of dollars at his disposal, as he famously treats himself to a large reward after every win. A January 2020 Golf article reported that while speaking with the press at the 2020 Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii, Thomas revealed, “Yeah, I’ve always been someone to celebrate a win. Whether it’s enjoying it with people or doing something or buying myself something that I wouldn’t buy myself.”
He went on to explain that this reward system is a way to keep himself motivated, noting, “I just feel like it’s very, very important to reward yourself when do you something well or you accomplish something because you did something good. You deserve it.” When asked about past celebratory purchases, Thomas shared that he’d built a man cave in his house. He also planned to buy a car with some of the $1.34 million he’d won at the at the 2020 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
According to CBS Sports, Thomas is considered one of the favorites in this year’s Master’s Tournament, which begins April 8.
