Celebrity Couples Who Broke Down the Barriers for Love
George and Amal Clooney
George Clooney met his wife Amal one fateful day when his parents were visiting him at his home in Lake Como. A friend of his was making his way to the Cannes film festival and Amal was tagging along, when they decided to stop at the actor’s house. It was love at first sight between the pair, who got married not long after that day – when Amal was 36 and Clooney was 53.
Of course, in Hollywood, that age gap really isn’t all that shocking. But when you consider the fact that George was 17 when Amal was born, that kind of makes you see things in a different light. However, the couple has been happily married ever since.
Jerry Hall & Rupert Murdoch
When former supermodel and 20-year girlfriend of Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall, cut ties with the rocker, the world anticipated what would come next – but they couldn’t have expected that she would marry billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch. After all, after spending two decades with a rock star, Murdoch didn’t necessarily seem like her type.
Everyone was a little bit shocked by the announcement, and critics all claimed there was no way it would last, but it seems that the 25-year age difference doesn’t matter much to the happy couple – who recently celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary.
Beyonce & Jay Z
Queen Bey and Jay Z have become known as one of the most iconic couples in Hollywood. Jay Z angered quite a few people when Bey released her hit single ‘Lemonade’, which revealed in coded fashion that Jay had been unfaithful to her. After all, how could the rapper, who is 12-years senior to the Queen, cheat on Beyonce?
After Jay put a ring on Beyonce’s finger in 2008, the music moguls decided to start a family. First, the couple welcomed their beautiful daughter Blue Ivy and a few years later, twins Sir and Rumi. The children of this family are such legends that Blue Ivy’s birth spawned several rumors of an Illuminati uprising. Fortunately, the family is only interested in making music and love.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Jason Statham
32-year old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is an English model that is best known for gracing the runways of Victoria’s Secret fashion shows, along with the covers of multiple international fashion magazines, including Vogue and GQ. The model has also tried her hand at acting, appearing in such films as ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’. Hunky husband Jason Statham, also from England, is well-known for playing the scruffy, angry antihero type in a variety of films, like ‘Crank’ and ‘The Transporter’ movies. The actor is 51-years old, giving him and Huntington-Whitely a 20-year age gap.
Statham first started dating Rosie back in April of 2010, and they have been together ever since. The actor even popped the question in 2017, the same year that they had their son, Jack. The couple is still engaged, but no date has been set just yet for the wedding.
Emmanuel Macron & Brigitte Trogneux
President of France Emmanuel Macron surprised everyone when he announced his relationship with Brigitte Trogneux. Why? Well, she’s a little bit older than him – over two decades older, that is. When he married Brigitte, critics had a lot to say about it, but the two stayed strong and remain happily married.
When Macron was elected president in 2017, he made headlines for several reasons, one of which being that, at 39, he was the youngest in the history of the country. He first met his wife in high school, when he was 15, and she was his teacher, which is one of the biggest reasons why some frowned upon the unorthodox romance. There’s a 25 year age gap between these two lovebirds.
Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves
Contrary to what some recent commercials may have led you to believe, Matthew McConaughey is not actually in a relationship with his car. In fact, he’s already taken by his beautiful wife, model Camila Alves. After the two met in 2006, they immediately hit it off and started dating.
In 2011, McConaughey proposed to Alves on Christmas Day, and she said yes to the actor, who is 14 years her senior. But, does age really matter when the people in question both look ridiculously good? The gap in age doesn’t seem to bother the stars, who are still happily married today.
Alec Baldwin & Hilaria Thomas
In 2012, yoga teacher Hilaria Thomas walked down the aisle at the wedding of her dreams when she said, “I do,” to actor Alec Baldwin. The happy couple met when Alec basically stalked Hilaria in an NYC restaurant, and she pretty much fell in love with him on the spot. Since Thomas is in the business of health and wellness and Baldwin is an A-lister, it may be pretty difficult to tell that they’re separated by a 26-year age gap.
But the couple doesn’t let the age difference get in the way of their happiness. In fact, they’re still together to this day. Over the span of their marriage, they’ve had 4 children, including oldest daughter Carmen, who was born the year after they tied the knot.
Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo
Adam Levine made a lot of guys jealous when he married his wife, Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo, in 2014. When the attractive young lovebirds tied the knot, a decade of age difference separated them, with Adam being 35 and Prinsloo, just 25.
Things weren’t always smooth sailing between the stars, and they ended up breaking up for a short period of time before they actually got married, but after those initial bumps, they seemed to work things out. The couple recently welcomed their second child, Gio, into the world and are planning to grow their family even more in the future.
Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green
These two love birds met on the set of ‘Hope & Faith’ in 2004. At the time they started dating, Fox had just turned legal, and Brian was over 30 years old – which means that he was about 13 years older than her. But this didn’t seem to bother either of the stars, who got married in Hawaii in 2010.
While some weren’t certain that the relationship would last, the couple proved everyone wrong and ended up having three children. But things weren’t always so bright for the stars, who got legally separated in 2015.
Heidi Klum & Tom Kaulitz
There’s a common theme among most of these celebrity couples, which is that at least one of them is super good looking. Hell, with most of them – both of them are good looking, which is the case for Heidi Klum and her 29-year-old guitarist fiancé: Tom Kaulitz. The 45-year-old former supermodel doesn’t mind the 16-year age difference and says that they’re so in love that it doesn’t matter, though she does admit that they get questioned about it quite often.
Klum, who is busy hosting ‘Project Runway’ these days, insists that her children from her previous marriage adore the musician and that everyone is looking forward to the upcoming nuptials. There are even rumors floating around that the two may be expecting a child of their own. The two frequently post intimate pictures of themselves together on their Instagrams, including the one she posted right after Kaulitz proposed, which she captioned simply, “I said yes.”
Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas
Beautiful actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is 25 years younger than her husband, actor and director Michael Douglas, but that hasn’t kept them from being happily married for nearly 20 years. They have faced some turbulence along the way, but for the most part, things between the actors seem to be working well.
During one interview, Catherine revealed one of her secrets to a long and happy marriage: separate bathrooms. Hey, if you think about it – that makes a lot of sense. Zeta-Jones has reported that her own parents have been married for over 50 years, and she intends on following right along in their footsteps. The stars have a daughter named Carys and a son named Dylan, both of whom are teenagers.
Pierce Brosnan & Keely Shaye Smith
Pierce Brosnan has a lengthy list of blockbuster hits under his belt, including his time as 007 in four of the James Bond films from 95’-02’, as well as playing the title character in ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’. The actor has an amazing way with accents, and you may be surprised to know that he was actually born and raised in Ireland.
Brosnan is pretty secretive when it comes to his personal life, something he may have picked up from playing a spy all those years. But the actor is married to Keely Shaye Smith, who he dated for 7 years between 1994 and 2011 when they ultimately tied the knot. The couple has been married ever since, despite a 10-year gap in age.
Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis
Olivia Wilde met funnyman Jason Sudeikis back in 2011, and things weren’t exactly off to a fast start. Apparently, Sudeikis stalled on texting Wilde for a whole month after she’d given him her digits! But once they started dating – they knew they were in it for the long haul. They took things pretty slow but ended up getting engaged.
The actress was never bothered by their age difference of 9 years, which doesn’t seem like all that much when you compare it to some of the bigger numbers on this list! The couple has yet to make things official, but they now have two children and couldn’t be happier.
Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon
Music mogul Mariah Carey broke a lot of hearts when she decided to tie the knot with young rapper/singer Nick Cannon in 2008. At the time the two got married, Cannon was 28 and Mariah was a decade older than him. The gap in age didn’t seem to bother either of the stars, who remained happily married for quite some time. Unfortunately, they did start to grow apart and eventually, they split up.
Several speculations exist as to why the couple got divorced in 2016. Many swear that they were doomed from the beginning because of their difference in age, but plenty of other couples have proven that theory wrong. Cannon explained to a few different publications that the reason they broke up is simply that they were no longer functioning as a family.
Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart
Hans Solo actor Harrison Ford married ‘Ally McBeal’s’ Calista Flockhart in 2010, which was about 8 years after they’d initially started dating. Ford told reporters that he was very much “in love” with the actress, who is a considerable number of years younger than him.
Today, Flockhart is 52 years old and her husband, 75, meaning the two have a 22-year gap in age separating them. But these two love birds don’t seem to mind and have been together now for nearly 18 years – which happens to also be the age of their son, Liam.
Sarah Paulson & Holland Taylor
Sarah Paulson is most well-known for each individual role that she’s played during her many years on ‘American Horror Story’. In the season they dubbed “Cult,” she portrays a lesbian, which as it turns out, accurately represents her personal love life. Paulson has been dating actress Holland Taylor since back in 2015.
Taylor, who acted in ‘The Practice’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’, is 76 years old and Sarah is just 44 – meaning that the women have a 34-year age gap between them. The actresses’ relationship continues to grow and as of 2019, they seem to be very happy together.
Patrick Stewart & Sunny Ozell
Patrick Stewart first met Sunny Ozell in 2008, when she was working as a waitress at Franny’s in New York City. The two started spending time together and eventually in 2013, they tied the knot. The actor, who has been married two times before, is 38 years older than his wife.
The adorable couple’s families don’t seem to have much of an issue with the age difference. In fact, Ozell’s father jokingly refers to Patrick as “son,” even though he’s actually 5 years his senior. The two were recently seen together at the critics’ choice awards, where one photographer snapped a shot of Stewart, who seemed to be having trouble averting his eyes from Sunny’s chest!
Mary-Kate Olsen & Olivier Sarkozy
Mary-Kate doesn’t let the 17-year age difference get in the way of her marriage with billionaire Olivier Sarkozy, who just so happens to be related to the former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. Mary-Kate has told reporters that she enjoys spending quiet nights at home playing stepmom and cooking dinners.
When the former ‘Full House’ star met Sarkozy, she hadn’t even turned 30 years old yet and he was going on 47. The couple tied the knot in 2015 and have been living the good life ever since.
Kris Jenner & Corey Gamble
Jenner and her boyfriend of 5 years met while attending a fashion designer’s birthday party in 2014 and have been hot and heavy ever since. However, the two aren’t exactly overly emotional about each other, especially not in public, and it would seem that Jenner doesn’t have any (immediate) intentions of putting a ring on Gamble’s finger. But even without PDA and wedding rings, they’ve maintained a solid romance, which is pretty incredible when you take into consideration that she is 25 years older than him.
Gamble can be seen in his regular appearances on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, and Jenner’s kids don’t seem to mind that someone who is pretty much their age is dating their mom. In one episode, Gamble can be heard telling them that they’re “basically peers.”
Ashley Olsen & Richard Sachs
It would seem that the Olsen twins share a lot more than just their faces – like their taste in older men. But while her sister married someone who is nearly two decades older than her, Ashley took an even bigger leap with Richard Sachs, who is a whole 28 years older than her. In today’s world, with people having children in their teen years, this means that Sachs is almost old enough to be her grandfather.
Since the Olsens are such private people, they tend to keep most of their personal issues out of the limelight, so no one is entirely sure why, but the couple ended up breaking things off in 2017. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Sachs was twice her age?
James McAvoy & Anne-Marie Duff
This talented duo met while they were filming ‘Shameless’, and they immediately felt an attraction. They began to date soon after they met and were married by 2006. McAvoy is 9 years younger than Anne-Marie, who played Fiona Gallagher for the first 2 seasons of the UK show.
Unfortunately, after 10 years of marriage, they decided to part ways and announced that they would be getting a divorce in 2016. The actors recently worked together on a BBC version of ‘His Dark Materials’, by Philip Pullman.
Warren Beatty & Annette Bening
During his legendary days, Warren Beatty was a famous womanizer. He could be seen on the arms of all of the hottest stars from the ’60s-’80s, including Diane Keaton and Madonna. But when he met Oscar winner Annette Bening on the set of his film ‘Bugsy’, all of that changed, and he decided to settle down.
The Hollywood power couple tied the knot in 1992, and had four children together, including their oldest son Stephen, and their youngest daughter Ella. They have now been happily married for over 27 years, despite the incredible gap in age.
Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi
Ellen DeGeneres is one of the biggest voices of the LGBTQ community, and she’s got quite a fanbase for that, along with all of the philanthropic stuff she likes to do. Fans have always had both Ellen’s and wife Portia de Rossi’s back, when it comes to their 11-year relationship, despite the fact they have a 15-year age gap between them.
The couple tied the knot in 2008, although Portia told Oprah that she fell in love with Ellen the moment she met her, in 2000 at a party. Portia recently appeared on Ellen’s show to surprise her with a gift for her 61st birthday.
Aaron & Sam Taylor-Johnson
Sam Taylor-Johnson met her husband Aaron in 2009 when she directed ‘Nowhere Boy’, a film that he just so happened to be acting in. The director was 42-years old and the actor – 19. But the age gap didn’t seem to have any effect on the connection they made, and they started dating not too long after the meetup.
Just because they don’t have an issue with the 23-year age difference, doesn’t mean that everyone felt the same way. The couple was torn apart by several media outlets who mocked the relationship. But, the two had real chemistry and tied the knot in 2012. During their marriage, the couple has had two daughters.
Michael Fassbender & Alicia Vikander
The way these two met was like something pulled straight out of a fairytale, or in this case – movie. The couple was first introduced on the set of ‘The Light Between Oceans’, an adorable love story about a lighthouse keeper and his wife. However, according to Vikander, they didn’t actually speak to each other for the first several times.
Vikander may be 11-years younger than husband Michael, but let’s face it, the two are both incredibly good looking. The stars tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in 2017 and have been happily married ever since.
Cheryl Cole & Liam Payne
Liam Payne from One Direction met his future wife Cheryl Cole in 2009, on the set of ‘X-Factor’, on which Liam was performing and Cheryl was sitting in a judge’s seat. Long story short, she was impressed, and the two would continue to see each other over the next several years in professional settings. Then, in 2016, the stars started to slowly reveal their blossoming relationship status via cute pictures and comments on Instagram.
Even though Liam is 10 years younger than his girlfriend Cole, it doesn’t seem to matter much at all in terms of how close they are. Plus, Cheryl is a total babe and Liam’s fans are probably super happy that this story worked out this way. Let’s hope the cute couple stays together!
Elton John & David Furnish
Music icon Elton John and filmmaker husband, David Furnish, were some of the very first voices behind civil partnerships in the UK. In 2014, they decided to make it official and legalized their marriage – after being together for nearly two decades. John told Parade that he was attracted to David since the very first time he met him at a dinner that the singer was hosting in 1993.
The happy couple is separated by a 15-year age gap, with David being 55 and John, 70. They are still together to this day and share two sons – Zachary, who is 8 and Elijah, who is 6. The family recently posted an adorable pic from a day at the premiere of ‘Sherlock Gnomes’ and everyone looks like they’re having a great time.
Eddie Murphy & Paige Butcher
Funnyman Eddie Murphy is famous for his hilarious roles in major films, like ‘The Nutty Professor’ and ‘Beverly Hills Cop’. He also voices the donkey in the popular ‘Shrek’ movies. Murphy has a total of 10 children, two of which are with his new wife, model Paige Butcher. The actor had been married twice before, once to the former wife of “Babyface.”
Eddie is 18 years senior to his wife, but you can’t tell by looking at him, because he looks incredible for his age! The couple welcomed their second child into the world in 2018 and are still happily married today.
Nicolas Cage & Alice Kim
Actor Nicolas Cage met Alice Kim in 2004 when she was working as a cocktail waitress in a nightclub and 2 months later – they were engaged to be married. Cage, who is 20-years older than Alice, has been married twice before. Sadly, even great things come to an end sometimes.
Although the pair did stay married for a good 12 years, they ultimately ended up getting a divorce in 2016. During their relationship, they had one son – Kal-El. If you think about this one, Kim wasn’t even legally able to order a cocktail when she said, “I do,” as she was just 20 years old and Cage, 40.
Dick Van Dyke & Arlene Silver
So, we’ve seen some age differences in the high 30s on this list, but if you thought that was the thick of it – you would be wrong! Why? Because multi-talented media mogul Dick Van Dyke’s age difference with his wife is the most extreme that we’ve seen so far. Arlene is a makeup artist and dancer that first met Van Dyke in 2006 at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The media legend has said that since she is so mature for her age and he is so “immature,” the insane age difference doesn’t really affect their relationship much.
The makeup artist said that the first time they saw each other Dick initiated a conversation that led to them dating soon after. In February of 2012, the two got married in Malibu, a decision that was widely criticized because of the age gap between them – 46 years. To put this in perspective, it means Dick is nearly 5 decades older than his wife. However, the two seem very happy together and are still married today.
Bruce Willis & Emma Heming
You may remember that Bruce Willis’s most infamous romantic relationship was his 12-year marriage to actress Demi Moore. The two stars had three daughters together before ending things in 2000. 9 years later, Willis said “I do,” to his new wife, model Emma Heming. The two lovebirds recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, which Moore attended in support. Willis is 22 years older than his current wife, but that shouldn’t come as a shocker since his former wife was 15 years younger than him, too.
Emma Willis is 43 years old these days and husband Bruce, 64, so you may be able to tell that Bruce is a little older from the silver fox vibe he has going on, but they both look great! The couple has had two children together over the course of their decade-long marriage.
Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster
Rock legend Rod Stewart is one of the biggest names in the business, selling more than 100 million records over the course of his career. And all along the way, he’s had groupies throwing themselves all over him, and he’d been married twice before. But in 2007, he met his third wife, television personality Penny Lancaster, and decided to put a ring on it. Fans were heartbroken, but Penny and Rod had found something truly special – even with the enormous age gap between them.
The age difference between the two is a substantial 27 years, not exactly the most extreme on the list, but definitely closer to the higher end! And, as disappointed as some of his female fans may be, the couple is still happily married. During their marriage, they have welcomed two children together. Hopefully this time Rod stays locked down. After all, the third time’s a charm, right?
Mel Gibson & Rosalind Ross
Oscar-winning actor Mel Gibson is best known for his roles in films like ‘Braveheart’ and ‘Lethal Weapon’. Gibson was one of 11 children growing up, which perhaps contributes to the fact that he now has 9 children of his own, 7 of which are with his first wife, Robyn Denise Moore. But after that 26-yearlong marriage came to an end, Mel Gibson found love again in the form of 28-year old writer, Rosalind Ross.
Gibson and Ross first met back in 2014, when the writer was signed to work for the actor’s production company. They hit it off immediately and Rosalind fell head over heels for the Hollywood legend. Gibson is an entire 35 years senior to his current wife, but they couldn’t be happier – even if she is 10 years younger than his oldest kid.
Hayden Panettiere & Wladimir Klitschko
Ukranian champion boxer Wladimir Klitschko first met bubbly actress Hayden Panettiere back in 2009. The boxer proposed to her 5 years later with an enormous engagement ring worth an estimated half a million dollars. That same year, they announced that Hayden was pregnant. But the bliss wouldn’t last forever…
The actress is 27-years old and Wladimir is 40, which separates the couple in age by 13 years. They welcomed their daughter Kaya in 2014, but they never ended up actually going through with the marriage. In fact, in 2018, they announced that they’d called the whole thing off.
David Hasselhoff & Hayley Roberts
Star of the hit show ‘Baywatch’, David Hasselhoff broke a lot of hearts in his day. Possibly even more so when he tied the knot. The star had married twice before he found his current love, Hayley Roberts, back in 2011. The model is a whopping 27-years younger than the actor.
The couple decided to make things official in 2017, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy. Oddly enough, his wife just so happens to share a name with one of David’s daughters. The two share a home in the Hollywood Hills and are rumored to live in the same neighborhood as Justin Bieber and some of the Kardashians.
Bradley Cooper & Suki Waterhouse
‘Hangover’ star Bradley Cooper started dating model and actress Suki Waterhouse in 2015. Cooper, who is 17-years older than Suki, did ultimately end up breaking things off, however, and he is now dating Irina Shayk, who is just a tad closer to him in age.
Although he spent 2 years with the young model, Cooper said in the end that he felt as though Suki was using him to elevate her career status in Hollywood. The model has most recently been rumored to be dating Robert Pattinson, whom Cooper actually warned about her manipulative behavior.
Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were, at one point, one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. Holmes admitted to having a crush on the star actor when she was young, in 2004, when she did an interview for Seventeen magazine. A year later, she was going public with the news that they were together and in 2006 – the couple tied the knot. Let’s rewind a year just for a second here, to note that 2005 was the year when Tom made his infamous appearance on Oprah’s show, on which he jumped on the couch and acted insane as he professed his love for young Katie, who is 16 years younger than him.
But this didn’t derail the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actress from marrying the ‘Mission Impossible’ star. During their marriage, Katie gave birth to the couple’s beautiful daughter Suri, who is now 6. The couple got divorced in 2012 after news of their indoctrination into Scientology went public, but they were definitely iconic while they lasted.
Amber Tamblyn & David Cross
This adorable couple met on an airplane in 2007, when the actor actually asked to be sat next to the ‘Traveling Pants’ actress. By 2011, the stars were engaged, despite the 20-year age gap that stood between them. In 2017, the couple welcomed daughter Marlow into the world. Although there has been some recent media criticism about some remarks Cross has made, Tamblyn stands by him to this day.
The two don’t seem to let the double-decade gap divide them and can always be seen looking happy when pictured out together in public.
Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore
Anyone who’s seen any type of celebrity news in the past decade or so is familiar with this hot couple. Everyone loved when Demi and Ashton got together, even though there was a 16-year age gap separating them. The couple met at a dinner in 2003, when Ashton was 25 and Demi was 41. In fact, this couple debuted right about when the word cougar started becoming a thing. Coincidence? We think not.
The stars spent 6 years together before filing for divorce, and another 2 before ultimately breaking things off in 2013. Several speculations exist as to what doomed the duo, but rumors are that Ashton was caught cheating – and not just once.
Katy Perry & Russell Brand
Pop diva Katy Perry and comedian Russell Brand are no longer together, but that doesn’t make their relationship any less iconic. After all, they made headlines everywhere when they tied the knot in India back in 2010. The age difference between the couple was a modest 9 years, but it was still noticeable.
When the stars split in 2012, fans were heartbroken. The reasons why the two broke up depend on who you ask. Reports are a mix of the fact that Katy’s success threatened Russell, and that she wasn’t enough of a philanthropist to satisfy his need to “make the world a better place.” Perry is now engaged to another actor that is around the same number of years older than her.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie
Angelina made headlines when she got together with Jennifer Aniston’s ex, Brad Pitt. Although, the two dated for an entire 7 years before finally deciding to tie the knot in 2014. During their relationship, the couple had three children and adopted three others. Unfortunately, Hollywood’s “it” couple was destined to split up.
But during their time together, no one even seemed to notice the 11-year difference in age between the two stars. Pitt and Jolie continued to make headlines together, right up until they officially split up in 2016. Pitt has recently been rumored to have gotten back together with sweetheart Jennifer Aniston and is still fighting Jolie in court today.
Kate Beckinsale & Matt Rife
Actress Kate Beckinsale, who is most famous for her roles in the ‘Underworld’ movies, shocked everyone when she hooked up with a man who is more than 20 years younger than her. In 2006, Kate split with her first husband, Len Wiseman, and started to date baby-faced comedian Matt Rife.
At the time of her divorce, Kate was 44 years old – not that she looked it, but this still made her over two decades older than her new boy-toy. However, things with Rife didn’t last very long, and they ended up splitting before a year had passed. Later, Rife would give Beckinsale’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, a word of warning – “run.”
Charlize Theron & Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt’s love life has been quite the rollercoaster over the last several decades. It seems as though he’s back on the dating wagon, and rumors are swirling around that he’s been dating 43-year old ‘Monster’ star, Charlize Theron.
Theron told Ellen DeGeneres that she’s not in a relationship with the 55-year-old actor and that she’s single – but that doesn’t mean that they haven’t been casually dating throughout 2019. What’s a 12-year age difference when you’re two of the hottest stars in Hollywood?
Johnny Depp & Amber Heard
Superstar actor Johnny Depp met actress Amber Heard in 2009, on the set of ‘The Rum Diary’, and they started dating in 2012. Two years later, the two decided to tie the knot – when Johnny was 51 years old and Heard just 28. Essentially, this means that Depp was more than two decades older than her when they sealed the deal.
However, things between the stars started to get seriously bumpy, and there were even allegations of physical abuse from both parties swirling around. The couple broke things off and got divorced in 2017. They have been tied up in court for years, with each star suing the other – Heard suing Depp for abuse and Depp suing Heard for defamation.
