More Jaw Dropping NFL Players’ Houses & Cars

It’s no secret that NFL stars are making millions every year and when we include all the endorsement and contract deals they bring in, it comes up to so much more. These famous players have worked hard to get where they are, so what exactly do these athletes choose to spend all their earnings on? Let’s have a gander at the most luxurious pads and cars of our beloved current and former players, this list sure makes watching a hard tackle a little easier!

Russell Wilson – Mercedes Benz G-Class, Estimated $135K

In the world of athletes in such a highly lucrative sport, Russell Wilson scored the second-biggest contract in 2015. The word rich is simply an understatement at this level. Imagine all the things that he can buy, the materialization of his cravings and imagination, easily fulfilled.

Russell Wilson likes his cars, and he owns a number of luxurious models that he parades at his home. Take this customized Mercedes Benz G-Class owned by the Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback that has anti-theft insurance and a voice recognition sound system. The posh vehicle costs a whopping $135,000, a trifle figure to the man.

Patrick Peterson – Scottsdale, Estimated $2.6 Million

Seven years into his NFL career, Patrick Peterson shows a mix of caution for his money and a vision for real estate investment. It sounds like a promising combination so far.

Now, he already owns a stunning mansion in Scottsdale. He’s also doing well athletically to keep that cash rolling and sustain his goals, having received multiple accolades as a corner back for the Arizona Cardinals. This beautiful property, that is worth $2.6 million, proudly sits on 7,807 square feet of land. It features 6 bedrooms, 8 baths, a full gym, a library, a private office, a basketball court right outside, and a lagoon-like swimming pool and spa.

Devin Hester – Chevrolet Impala, Estimated $250K

Hailed as one of the best return specialists in the history of National Football League, former wide receiver Devin Hester exudes dedication to customized cars.

His golden yellow Chevy Caprice has a Louis Vuitton print warp and 26” chrome rims, and that’s nothing short of luxury. A complete set of rims and tires for this could cost as much as another second-hand vehicle, just to put things into perspective. Thanks to modern technology, the Impala’s interior is now fully loaded with imported leather seats, looking absolutely stunning after undergoing a series of face-lifts from top-notch shops.

Carson Palmer – Del Mar, Estimated $25 Million

The former quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Arizona Cardinals has amassed significant wealth in over 15 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He takes pride in his half-acre land in Del Mar, which he purchased for $4.4 million.

Carson Palmer dropped $20 million on the design and construction of his mansion, that stands atop his 8,000 square foot estate, which has a massive parking area dedicated to his bevy of luxury cars.  A quick walk around his home will lead you to an infinity pool and an exclusive fitness area.

Delanie Walker – Buick Skylark Coupé, Estimated $50K

The former San Francisco 49ers and current Tennessee Titans’ tight end has a special eye for cool and classy things.

Finding a mint condition 1970 Buick Skylark Coupé for sale one day triggered the aggression he often displays in the field. Trained in a sport where timing means everything, he decided to seal the deal right away, spending a sizable amount of money for its major makeovers. When this blue muscle car rolls, it easily catches attention. No, it demands it with a $50K tingle!  This American classic beauty is a treasure for vintage car collectors, and Delanie Walker has that completely tackled.

Robert Griffin III – Aldie, Estimated $2.5 Million

Robert Griffin III aka RGIII or RG3 landed a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, a fresh platform to showcase his abilities as a quarterback, coming off the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Redskins.

He has numerous endorsements, that include Adidas, Nissan, and Subway, among many others. His impressive NFL resume earned him millions of dollars that led to his real estate investments, like this $2.5 million property sitting in Aldie, Virginia.  Robert’s mansion boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, a wine cellar, an entertainment room, a spa, and a huge golf course. But the highlight of the place might be the living room, where photographs of his heydays are set, along with his Heisman Trophy.

Antonio Brown – Rolls-Royce Phantom, Estimated $500K

The wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers knows how to express his feelings in style. He loves his mansion, that is reportedly worth $6.6 million, but the main vessel for expressing his pride is literally in his ride, that is reportedly valued at $500k.

Antonio Brown first landed his contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2010, and he hasn’t switched teams yet, nor does he seem to be considering it. You can tell. All one has to do is check out his Rolls Royce Phantom that he painted with the colors of his team. And like a true sportsman who enjoys what he does, his car exhibits his blown up signature on the side.

Marshawn Lynch – Richmond, Estimated $3.3 Million

For an athlete that is known to millions of people as the “Beast Mode”, for his powerful and insane running style, Marshawn Lynch’s ownership of this sweet Richmond property that is estimated at $3.3 million, shows a completely refined side of his personality.

Sitting on 7,000 square feet of land, the huge waterfront property includes 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and a boat dock. One of the reasons the running back for the Oakland Raiders fell in love with this property is its breathtaking view of the San Francisco Bay, that he says he will never get tired of looking at. This is where “Beast Mode” sits in silence at certain times of the day.

Ndamukong Suh – Fort Lauderdale, Estimated $6.5 Million

Ndamukong Suh has become one of the most decorated football players since his college years. The nose tackle for the Los Angeles Rams happily owns a sprawling 11,142 square foot house in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that might just be the envy of the neighborhood.

The stunning contemporary house highlights floor-to-ceiling glass, with 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a wine room, a spa, and a pool house for a bit of recreation. It surely sounds like a lot of space for one man, even for a family, and you just know it offers so much more.  Ndamukong Suh could just pick any corner and appreciate all that he has accumulated for himself quite comfortably.

Odell Beckham Jr – Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, Estimated $500K

New York Giants’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is considered one of the most productive football players active today, and is listed on Forbes’ “30 under 30.”

Shutterstock

With numerous awards in his professional career in the NFL, Beckham has widened his investments and his penchant for luxury cars as well. He owns a customized Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and a McLaren MP4-12C. As if these two top tier automobiles weren’t enough, the popular athlete has added a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, with an estimated value of a whooping $500,000. It only makes you wonder, with an extremely expensive line up like this, what could be next? We know it’s just a matter of time before his next purchase.

Matt Forte – Chicago, Estimated $4.1 Million

Prior to playing for the New York Jets as a running back, Matt Forte spent 8 long years dedicated to the Chicago Bears. During this period, he had earned an incredible fortune that gave him the purchasing power to acquire an amazing $4.1 million mansion in downtown Chicago.

Alamy Stock Photo

The magnificent four-story home offers dreamy features, such as 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, an elevator, and a home theater that can cater to 20 people. Indeed, Forte can be a good host of big occasions in his huge house. It certainly has enough room, although he still feels the need to add more.

Cam Newton –1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass, Estimated $255K

The quarterback for the Carolina Panthers lives securely in his new posh condo in Charlotte, that has an extremely advanced security system. He likes to go up to his rooftop and watch the neighborhood that he loves from the pool.

But the real deal about Cam Newton is when he goes out to drive his 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass – a combination of gold and black colors. The interior is fit for a king, seats riddled with diamond stitches. He loves to customize his car, and it is safe to say it will undergo some more upgrades despite all the improvements already made to it. But how do you upgrade a car that already has 24-karat gold plating?

Von Miller – Cherry Hills Village, Estimated $8 Million

The Denver Broncos’ outside linebacker has turned his dream house into a reality with hard work, and he’s not shy about talking it up. He’s happy and proud of what he has built for himself.

Shutterstock

That’s pretty easy to understand, given the contents of his $8 million estate in Cherry Hills Village. It features 7 bedrooms, 6 baths, and a closet room that stores over 800 pairs of designer shoes. The master bedroom is designed after a Vegas hotel room, and its basement has a pool hall.

LaRon Landry – Lamborghini Murcielago, Estimated $450K

LaRon Landry (aka Iron Man) is a former safety for the Washington Redskins, New York Jets, and the Indianapolis Colts. Just like other NFL superstars, Landry has a wide collection of toys that can be attributed to super athletes’ predilection towards speed and power.

His extravagant collections include a white Hummer H2 pickup, a matte white Lamborghini Aventador, a modified 2008 silver Corvette, and a metallic green Lamborghini Murcielago that he customized for a pretty sum of $450,000. You can just stare at these babies the whole day!

Eli Manning –Quogue, Estimated $8.5 Million

Perhaps Alfred Morris and Eli Manning are two of a kind. Both their NFL careers have propelled them to earn millions of dollars, but unlike most of their peers they prefer to lead a relatively simple lifestyle. This bodes well for a future beyond football, buttressed by a fat bank account.

Instead of splurging his hard-earned money with a huge collection of luxury cars, Manning decided to purchase an Escalade Hybrid for $74,500, which isn’t bad at all. This allowed him to maximize his investment by turning to real estate instead in Quogue, South Hamptons for $8.5 million. The value of this beachfront property is only expected to increase, with its peaceful view and direct pathway down the shore.

Drew Brees – Bugatti Veyron, Estimated $2.2 Million

Drew Brees’ meteoric career in the NFL as quarterback for the New Orleans Saints has fueled his desire for fast cars. He likes to use them to the maximum, too, to the chagrin of local law enforcement.

Out of the five cars that he owns, the ultra-lux Bugatti Veyron is his most expensive one, with a price tag of a cool $2.2 million. He’s also not shy about revving those engines, despite a previous car accident he should be mighty grateful for surviving. Constantly risking it while in the game as well as off the field, if danger can be an addiction for some people, this certainly serves as proof.

Joe Flacco – Corvette Stingray, Estimated $70K

When Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco was named as the Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player in 2013, he deserved nothing less for his devotion to training and commitment to his team.

Alamy Stock Photo

Aside from the highly coveted award, he was also gifted this gorgeous red-orange Corvette Stingray, worth $70,000. Indeed, a supercar for a super player. Flacco reportedly had to pay for the taxes on this vehicle, which he didn’t mind doing, considering not only its monetary value but the warm memories of a great season.

Ryan Tannehill – Fort Lauderdale, Estimated $4.3 Million

With the stacks of money involved in building a career in the National Football League, it would be wise for athletes to hire financial advisers and managers. They make sure these affluent athletes do not lose control over their money and that their future remains secure.

Take it from Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who brags about his mesmerizing waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale. Tannehill’s 5,480 square foot mansion includes 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, a home gym, a huge pool, and a cozy guesthouse that has an estimated value of $4.3 million. Despite the splurge, he knows he’s not overspending most of the time.

Ezekiel Elliott – Corvette Stingray, Estimated $60K

The Dallas Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott is beyond grateful to finally make it to the big league, but he isn’t the type to forget his roots.

Thrilled for signing his rookie contract, Elliot’s first act wasn’t to go shopping for himself, although we all know he eventually would. Humble and loving, the first thing that popped into his mind when he got his millions was to reach out to the people who had reared him to become the man he is now: his parents. He proudly bought them a new house! As for himself, the running back bought a white Corvette Stingray worth $60,000. This chic sports car matches the personality of the young football superstar – a standout athlete with superb strength.

Marcell Dareus – Ferrari F430, Estimated $280K

Marcell Dareus drives a car that looks to be borne by golden coins for its customized gold rims.  He is flamboyant like that, and it’s not a regular car you’d see just anywhere.

It’s called the “Fur-rari,” apparently because it’s exterior is wrapped in red velvet. You certainly cannot accuse the guy of being inconspicuous, but why should he be? The defense tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars owns a gorgeous red Ferrari F430 worth $280,000. That’s not something you’d like to keep in the background. This luxury vehicle features a custom JL Audio system, which is controlled by an iPad mini.

Julio Jones – Atlanta, Estimated $1.2 Million

Julio Jones, the wide receiver of the Atlanta Falcons, has an impressive spread of property on Camp Branch Road in Atlanta. If he’s not out competing with his team, he pampers himself in a home that boasts 7 bedrooms, 9 baths, heated floors, a home gym, and an entertainment room.

Shutterstock

Who knows what one can do with all that in one super house? But it sure is a grand investment that promises future value. Aside from his mansion, there are other things to keep him entertained, such as a tennis court, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, and a guesthouse.

Thomas Jones – Rolls Royce Phantom, Estimated $300K

With an 11-year career in the NFL as a running back for the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and the Kansas City Chiefs, Thomas Jones’ legacy in football still lives on, almost like an institution in itself.

Alamy Stock Photo

The athlete-turned-actor has collected luxury cars throughout his career, but one stands out as his favorite. The custom red Rolls Royce Phantom, with an estimated value of $300,000, stands in a league of its own. This head-turner is fit for a king, like Thomas Jones was in the NFL, having showcased his outstanding football skills until his retirement.

Julius Peppers – Miami, Estimated $6.5 Million

When Julius Peppers was still playing for the Green Bay Packers, which he did from 2014 to 2016, he treated himself to the purchase of an incredible Miami mansion worth $6.5 million.  This may have been an augur of better things to come. This elegant beauty features 8 bedrooms with 8 baths, a chef’s kitchen, a library, and an infinity pool that reflects the cerulean sky above.

Julius Peppers now plays for the Carolina Panthers, but looking back to those years, it can be expected that his business ventures and real estate investments will keep growing. His Dutch-Caribbean plantation-style estate is amazing.

Julio Jones – Ferrari 458 Spider, Estimated $270K

Julio Jones is only 28 years old. He is fast and strong, a young man with a very bright future in the NFL. At this point in his career, he is estimated to be worth over $25 million, and he’s in a position to earn even more down the line.

He likes big houses, a symbol of power and position in society. The wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons has a strong liking for posh cars, too. In fact, Julio Jones is a proud owner of a customized crisp white Ferrari 458 Spider, accentuated with red rims and a red stallion worth $270,000.

A.J. Green – Porsche Panamera 4S, Estimated $160K

A.J. Green’s estimated net worth is about $35 million. That’s the product of hard work, dedication, and, most of all, loyalty.

Green has been the wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals since 2011, and he has earned an impressive record in catching passes in the last eight years. He is one of those NFL athletes who knows that those big money contracts aren’t going to last forever. The sports years are only a fraction of one’s lifetime and, therefore, one must be financially literate moving forward.  Despite being a conservative spender, he broke his rule when he bought himself a $160,000 Porsche Panamera 4S.

Antrel Rolle – Maserati GranTurismo, Estimated $150K

Prior to announcing his retirement from football on November 2016, Antrel Rolle made significant contributions as a former safety for the Arizona Cardinals, the New York Giants, and the Chicago Bears. When he finally retired from the sport, he accumulated a record of 834 career tackles.

With an NFL career that spanned a decade, Rolle had made luxurious investments, and one of them involved the purchase of this gorgeous Maserati GranTurismo for $150,000. This posh car is just perfect for an All-American Super Bowl champion. It is a timeless piece, colored in red, a reflection of his rich and grand career.

Richard Sherman – Seattle, Estimated $2.3 Million

Richard Sherman is one of the NFL’s most popular players. In fact, he was selected to the Pro-Bowl 4 times, and he led the league in interceptions back in 2013.

Alamy Stock Photo

He purchased a 9,4350 square feet mansion in Maple Valley, worth $2.3 million. The fabulous property boasts 4 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms, an indoor swimming pool, a personal beauty salon, and a full-sized basketball court, among many other luxurious amenities. Indeed, Sherman’s 6-year career as cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks has paid off, and this huge property is just one of his many accomplishments.

Vernon Davis – Bentley Continental GT Convertible, Estimated $200K

The Washington Redskins’ Vernon Davis is a self-proclaimed “car guy.”  Unsurprisingly, he keeps a beautiful collection of luxury vehicles in his home, like shiny trophies and memorabilia of his successful football career. In 2006, his very first contract with the league was worth $23 million.

The former tight end of the Denver Broncos & San Francisco 49ers owns a custom jet-black Ford F150 truck, 2 white Escalades, a Mercedes Benz S63, a Porsche Panamera, and a $200,000 Bentley Continental GT Convertible. One of the special features of his car collection is the advanced anti-theft security system.

Tony Romo – Dallas, Estimated $9 Million

When Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo retired from football last year, he made sure his savings from his 13 years in the NFL was put to good use. There are too many examples of retired pro-football players that have wasted their savings on bad investments and careless spending, and Romo just isn’t that kind of guy.

Getty Images Photo by Tom Pennington

One of his greatest investments is his 32,515 square feet Dallas mansion, worth $9 million.  The incredible property has everything you need, including plenty of bedrooms, a spa, a swimming pool, and an entertainment area. We can just imagine how thrilled his wife and sons are with the fine design of this first rate property and all of the activities it has to offer.

Philip Rivers – Rancho Santa Fe, Estimated $4.7 Million

Modesty could take on a different meaning when it comes to pro-footballers, and Philip Rivers is one of those modest ones, considering that his career earnings are close to $200 million. He isn’t a fancy guy who wears expensive clothes, and he drives a regular Ford F250, with no customization.

But his abode is something else entirely. With a big family (his wife and 9 children), Philip Rivers purchased an 8-acre property in Rancho del Lago in Santa Fe for $4.7 million. The private community features a private tennis court, swimming pool, and spa, and many other perks.

Colin Kaepernick – Jaguar F Type, Estimated $100K

Caught up in an unusual conundrum only the affluent could have, Colin Kaepernick resolved his confusion in a manner only a pro-football player with wild purchasing power could do.

Alamy Stock Photo

First, he wanted to buy his dream car, the Jaguar F Type worth $100,000, painted black. But he could not deny the temptation of owning a red one, too.  So the former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers decided that he could not possibly live without either, and purchased both. It was a decision made for his peace of mind.

DeMarcus Ware – Denver, Estimated $1.3 Million

When DeMarcus Ware decided to retire from pro-football, away for the first time from the wear and tear of such a grueling sport, he decided to spend the rest of his days living a life of comfort.

The former outside linebacker and defensive end gave up his Dallas mansion for a three-story townhouse in an exclusive subdivision in Denver. Ware invested $1.37 million in cold cash in this posh property that includes 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. This property is situated in the secure and exclusive neighborhood of Cherry Creek North in Denver, which is a great place for a tough athlete to relax and recuperate.

Joe Haden – Lamborghini Aventador, Estimated $1.1 Million

You’d be hard pressed to find anyone, especially a wealthy athlete, who does not dream of owning a Lamborghini some day down the road. It is exquisitely designed, powerful, and captivating, but it is also very much above the majority’s pay grade.

Joe Haden, the Cleveland Browns’ cornerback, however, owns not one, but two of these Italian sports cars. It’s like a double dream come true. His very first was the white Lamborghini Murciélago, and then there’s the custom 2014 Lamborghini Aventador, that matches his team’s colors, in fierce orange and brown.

Rob Gronkowski – Boston, Estimated $2.2 Million

The tight end for the New England Patriots, Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski did not think twice in making a major house upgrade when the opportunity presented itself. The 29-year-old football star moved to a penthouse located in Boston’s Seaport District worth $2.2 million, a major change from his Tampa bachelor pad. Gronkowski’s sleek 2,063 square foot apartment offers 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a private office, and a fully loaded kitchen.

During his career, Rob Gronkowski achieved five Pro-Bowl selections. In 2011, he became the first tight end in NFL history to lead the league in receiving touchdowns. It looks like he’s got a great touchdown in Boston’s Seaport District.

Larry Fitzgerald – Mercedes Benz SL550, Estimated $100K

Since 2004, Larry Fitzgerald has been a wide end receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. Each year that he has dedicated himself to overcoming the competition and concentrating on the game, his bank account has grown bigger. By how much, we can only imagine.

As a manifestation of his wealth, Fitzgerald is a happy owner of a restored classic Mustang Shelby, a red BMW 745i, a black Rolls Royce, and an orange S class Range Rover. And of course, we can’t leave out his absolute favorite, the silver Mercedes Benz SL550, worth over $100,000. We’re out of words, simply in awe.

Brandon Marshall – Southwest Ranches, Estimated $5 Million

Brandon Marshall has earned hundreds of millions of dollars along the way, playing for the Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, New York Jets, Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins, since breaking into the NFL in 2006. His latest stint, although a short one, was with the New Orleans Saints.

The veteran free agent has reportedly decided to let go of his Southwest Ranches. He’s selling it for a hefty $5 million. This huge property features 6 bedrooms, 7 baths, a spa, a gym, an entertainment room, and a full-sized basketball court. Is Marshall seriously letting go of this treasure? Yes, but only for a bigger replacement, perhaps. Reports say he is currently checking out prime properties in New Jersey.

Philip Rivers – San Diego, Estimated $3.5 Million

Alamy Stock Photo

The jaw-dropping property boasts 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a media room, a wine cellar, a library, an outdoor fireplace, and a huge swimming pool with a waterfall. But this isn’t even his biggest real estate investment, believe it or not. Philip Rivers has also purchased a property in Rancho Santa Fe that cost him $4.7 million. What a spree it seems for the quarterback who was drafted to the NFL in 2004. Could a bigger mansion soon be on the horizon?

Tom Brady – Rolls-Royce Ghost, Estimated $300K

Regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time by American football pundits, Tom Brady wants it all. The crazy thing about it is that he might just have all that his heart desires, seeing as he is one of the richest athletes in the NFL, and husband to supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

The $6.7 million mansion features 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces and a boat dock. It’s a perfect scene of homeliness, perhaps, and rich family life.

With a net worth of over $100 million, Russell Wilson may have his eye on more amazing real estate properties, which is a wise way to invest his money for his kids’ futures.

Darren McFadden – Buick Centurion, Estimated $100K

After 10 seasons in the NFL, Darren McFadden, former running back for the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders, decided to call it a day and retired from the football scene. But he isn’t the type of guy that likes to simply fade into the twilight, as far as his taste for cars is concerned.

McFadden has six luxury cars stowed in his garage. His collection includes a silver Bentley Continental GT and a Cadillac Escalade. But of all his babies, it’s the 1973 Buick Centurion worth $100,000 that will steal your attention. Curiously, he listed his super famous Texas mansion on the market for $21 million, and we wonder, what more could he be looking for? The amazing estate he still owns has sweeping landscapes. Any guest in his stunning estate will be impressed with its luxurious features and exceeding comfort.

Elvis Dumervil – Florida, Estimated $2.3 Million

Elvis Dumervil has been team hopping for a while before landing a contract with the San Francisco 49ers. It looks like he has finally found a home, but during the process of moving from the Denver Broncos to the Baltimore Ravens, he has been wise to amass hefty savings.

He has saved enough to acquire a new home without a mortgage. Plus, he made a good decision of selling his old mansion for added leverage. He sold his 9,000 sq. foot mansion for a cool sum of $2.3 million, which could have cost him a lot to maintain on the side.

Keyshawn Johnson – California, Estimated $11 Million

Another NFL player who has made a few team transfers is NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson. He has played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, and the Carolina Panthers.

A quick glance may give a slight impression of instability, with all the moving, the short contracts, and the team hopping. But that certainly is not the case for Keyshawn Johnson, who seems to have settled down with the Panthers now. He has made some great investments, too, protecting his hard-earned money. One of the major investments that Johnson made was acquiring this grand home in Calabasas, California. Estimated at $11 million, his stunning estate will surely increase in value in the years to come.

Michael Strahan – Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster, Estimated $525K

At the close of their careers, most super athletes that earn soaring incomes mull about slowing down in expenses beyond the sport. After all, retirement can be a long and very slow process.  Exclude Michael Strahan from that list, at least when it comes to spending for his luxury car collection.

Now a famous TV personality, Strahan is a proud luxury car collector. His collection includes a gorgeous Porsche Carrera GT, a sleek Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, and a couple of his favorite Mercedes-Benzs. It is safe to say that the former New York Giants’ defensive end has not shown signs of slowing down.

Jay Cutler – Audi R8 GT, $200K

Jay Cutler has played for the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears as their quarterback, but he is now working with the Miami Dolphins. Alongside his transfers comes an increase in his paychecks, plus the priceless feeling that he is finally at home with his current team.

Brighter days hover over the horizon for Cutler, and those around him expect him to venture into business and make some smart investments. For now, he has bought a lavish gift for himself. It was no less than a custom Audi R8 GT worth $200,000. Celebration is in order all right!

Calvin Johnson – Porsche Panamera Turbo, Estimated $150K

Calvin Johnson is a former wide receiver for the Detroit Lions. For him, speed comes with the territory, which is why he got himself a car that goes from zero to sixty in just 3.2 seconds. This is quite the machine for Johnson, and that’s why it’s his favorite.

Alamy Stock Photo

Luckily for him, he has the money to sustain such an expensive hobby. He purchased this blue speed devil upfront, without any loans. Then, he brought it to the best custom shops in the neighborhood to soup it up, dropping some hefty piles of cash directly from his pocket!

Darrelle Revis  – Range Rover Evoque, Estimated $50K

Darrelle Revis is currently a free agent, and on the lookout for a team that might be better suited to him. But this doesn’t mean he is in need of a financial boost of any kind. He is smart enough to forecast such gaps between employments, and has tucked away a fair bit from when he played for teams like the New York Jets, New England Patriots, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a cornerback.

Shutterstock

Revis, in fact, has an extensive collection of cars, which includes his Range Rover Evoque, worth $50K. It is colored blood red -an eye-catcher, bold, and dashing.

Adrian Peterson – Texas, Estimated $6.7 Million

In his first professional season, Adrian Peterson quickly grabbed the attention of football fans, analysts, and his peers by setting an NFL record for most rushing yards in a single game. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and then signed up with the New Orleans Saints, followed by the Cardinals, and is currently with the Washington Redskins.

Alamy Stock Photo

His experience in the league of lucrative contracts had him covered when he purchased his $6.7-million mansion in Texas. His new residence is optimally designed, with 10,582 square feet of living space. How does one make use of all that? Well one has ten baths of course. It has a gym, two outdoor kitchens, a cabana, six bedrooms, a walk-in wine cellar, a two-story library, and a pool.

Jason Taylor – Rancho Sante Fe, Estimated $4.5 Million

Jason Taylor has dedicated 15 years of his life competing in the NFL, mainly for the Miami Dolphins. He is a former defensive end and outside linebacker. His many achievements include being seventh on the all-time career sack list, with a total of 139.5.

During his tenure with the league, Taylor was able to grow his bank account to bulging proportions, which allowed him to purchase such a magnificent mansion as the one he currently owns, in Rancho Santa Fe. The estimate of his property’s value comes in at a whopping $4.5 million. It has 8 baths and a library, where he studies to improve himself. For recreation, the sprawling estate has a poker and billiard-game room. It also boasts 7 bedrooms, a wine cellar, and an infinity pool.

Josh Freeman – Tampa, Estimated $2 Million

Before becoming a free agent, Josh Freeman had transferred from one team to another, continually uncertain, wondering what the future would hold for him. He was a quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Brooklyn Bolts.

It would not be surprising if his free agent status would hurt him financially before landing a new contract. This means that his Tampa estate, worth $2 million, could top the list of prime properties up for sale sooner than expected. It has 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, a home cinema, a spa, and a huge pool, all in a 5,837 sq. ft. home.

Kyle Long – Lake Forest, Estimated $2.5 Million

The Chicago Bears’ guard has been playing for his team since he joined the NFL. At 30 years of age, he is proud to say that he now owns a beautiful mansion, a product of pure hard work and commitment, quietly settled in Lake Forest.

It is a 6,238-square-foot estate, a Georgian-style house that is worth $2.5 million with 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, 4 fireplaces, a home theater, and a library. Just outside of his home lies a heated swimming pool to dip in and relax after training and competition, that can be way too physical at times.

Mario Williams – Buffalo, Estimated $3 Million

When Mario Williams shifted from a defensive end for the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills to being a free agent, he also decided to put his Buffalo mansion on the market. It is a classic insulation against an uncertain future, which often proves wise, even if a bit expected.

Williams’ 13,189 square foot estate offers 5 bedrooms, 7 baths and a chic vintage library. It may be something too precious to let go of for now, but certain decisions have to be made, and Mario Williams has that sagacious capacity, typical of men who bounce back stronger.

Cam Newton – Charlotte, Estimated $1.6 Million

Cam Newton finds himself in a win-win situation. First, he seems to be having the time of his life playing for the Carolina Panthers as the team’s quarterback, and then, he seems to enjoy life without fretting too much over the challenges that lie before him.

Shutterstock

Now he has secured a $1.6 million condo for himself, that is just within the Trust Building, complete with an advanced security system. Also, the modern haven has an impressive space of more than 3,200 square feet that includes 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, wooden floors and a rooftop pool.

Antonio Gates – Poway, Estimated $2.5 Million

Selected into the Pro-Bowl 8 times, and a 5-time All-Pro, the NFL has expanded Antonio Gates’ interests and views – and purchasing power. So much so that the tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers decided he needs a bigger place to live, in comparison to his old residence.

Getty Images Photo by David Livingston

His $2.5-million estate in Poway, California is 6,800 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, an oversized kitchen, an entertainment room, a library, two offices, and a basketball court.

Joe Montana – San Francisco’s Marina District, Estimated $2.7 Million

The real estate business is supposedly a safe way to invest your money, as real property value is almost always expected to grow in time. NFL legend Joe Montana thought so, too, and was quick to purchase large properties when the opportunity presented itself. However, reselling them turned out poorly. His Napa property suffered a steep drop, for example, from $50 million to $35 million.

Getty Images Photo by Focus on Sport

Joe Montana remains optimistic, and continues to invest in properties, like one in the San Francisco’s Marina District that is estimated at $2.7 million. It isn’t for sale, but when he decides to, he hopes to double its original value.

Troy Polamalu – La Jolla, Estimated $4.7 Million

Troy Polamalu played for the Pittsburgh Steelers all throughout his NFL career as a strong safety, which accounts for a total of 11 years. His relationship with the team was deemed ‘made in heaven’ from the very beginning, and he has kept his gorgeous digs from those days to remind him of the good times.

Getty Images Photo by George Gojkovich

The team rewarded him with a hefty paycheck, which he used to buy a brand new mansion, located in La Jolla, California. It is estimated to be worth $4.75 million.

Charles Woodson – Orlando, Estimated $3.6 Million

The Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers were both lucky enough to have Charles Woodson play for them as their cornerback and safety. Woodson was a vital part in his former teams’ success, and had amassed a huge fortune in the process.

Alamy Stock Photo

Considered to be one of the most decorated football players in the sport, Woodson is enjoying his downtime thanks to his lavish 8,000 square foot home, that sits on three acres of land in California. His $3.65 million mansion features 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, a pool, a gym, a home cinema, and a basketball court.

Chad Pennington – Southwest Ranches, Estimated $3.3 Million

Chad Pennington acquired his large estate in the Southwest Ranches way back in 2008, and it looks like he’s going to be staying there for a long time. This purchase dates back to when he was still a quarterback for the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, and earning millions.

Home is where the heart is, and Pennington seems to have found true love in his mansion, estimated to be worth $3.3 million. It includes 6 bedrooms, 6 baths, a movie theater, a barbecue area, a swimming pool, and a garage that can hold four cars.

Shaun O’Hara – New Jersey, Estimated $2.7 Million

Part of the challenges pro athletes go through in their careers is being continually apart from their families. Along with the traveling, of course, are the rigors of the sport, and the lurking danger that anything can happen during a given match.

So when Shaun O’Hara, the former offensive lineman and center for the New York Giants, decided to call it a career, he made sure that his time with his family and their comfort was his top priority. That intention has been fulfilled through the purchase of his New Jersey mansion, that is estimated at $2.7 million. It has 6 bedrooms, 8 baths, a library, a wet bar, spa, a stone fireplace, a balcony, and a blue-stone porch. Now, that’s perfect for catching up.

Michael Turner – Georgia, Estimated $2.3 Million

When you’re as good a football player as Michael Turner, the former running back of the Atlanta Falcons and the San Diego Chargers, you’re often guaranteed a fat paycheck.

That’s why Turner invested his huge earnings in what would become his relaxing haven. His $2.3-million country home in Gwinnett County spells relaxation and excitement, thanks to its amazing features, like nine bathrooms, six bedrooms, a full bar, six fireplaces, a library, four garages, a home theater and a hot tub.

Matt Birk – Reisterstown, Estimated $1.6 Million

Matt Birk’s decorated 14-year NFL career resulted to his incredible net worth, which enabled him to enjoy the extravagant perks of a super athlete. The issue for  Birk now was how to use his earnings wisely, to make its value beget more.

Like many of his peers, Birk wanted to invest in comfort and luxurious housing, buying a $1.6 million home located in Reisterstown, Maryland. The Colonial-style property sits on a 1.2-acre plot and offers 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and a 4-car garage. The former football center for the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings has no regrets so far.

Cortland Finnegan – Brentwood, Estimated $3 Million

Despite the many team transfers, from the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, and the Tennessee Titans, Cortland Finnegan has, somewhat out of character, stayed loyal to his Brentwood Home. His last stint with the Dolphins was somewhat lackadaisical, and he was quickly released a year later, totaling 44 tackles with no interceptions. He announced his retirement after that.

Getty Images Photo by Scott Cunningham

But the former corner-back made sure he had his investments covered. He bought this property for an estimated $3 million, and has lived there happily ever since. It is a 2-story mansion that sprawls over 6,693 square feet of living space.

Marion Barber – Chevrolet Impala, Estimated $35K

After serving the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears as a dependable running back, Marion Barber thought of giving something back to himself as a reward, a sort of motivating factor. So he decided to buy a vintage car worthy of his endeavors: a 1971 Chevrolet Impala kept in pristine condition.

Barber sealed the deal for the classic automobile and had it customized straightaway in honor of his previous teams. It flashes the colors yellow and orange, with a price tag of $35k. Each time he rolls with it, the gold rims sparkle like coins out of a treasure chest.

Earl Thomas – Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, Estimated $250K

As a draft analyst for the NFL network, Michael Mayock praised Earl Thomas who, in his personal assessment, was the most instinctive free safety he’s ever observed on tape over the last five to six years. He made valuable contributions to the team as a rookie, on their way to the Seahawks’ first Super Bowl victory.

It’s been 8 years since Thomas was drafted, and so many things have changed for him since.  For instance, he now has an extensive collection of luxury cars, which includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Chevy Camaro, and his pride – a $250K Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster. Life has certainly changed for the best.

Bernard Berrian – Audi R8, Estimated $170K

The year 2010 was a low point in Bernard Berrian’s football career. The following year, the Minnesota Vikings released him, and that was practically the end of it. But during his heyday as an American football wide receiver, both the Chicago Bears and the Vikings undoubtedly benefited from his performance.

It was a relatively short career for Bernard Berrian, spending three years on each team, but you’ve got to give it to him. In such a short span of tim, he made sure he had a gold token for himself in the form of a customized blue Audi R8. This one’s worth $170k.

Warren Sapp – Orange County, Estimated $2.1 Million

Warren Sapp had the highest of high and the lowest of low stories, both in his personal and professional life. The former defensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quickly transformed his $77 million earnings from his NFL career to a savings account that had less than $1000.

Getty Images Photo by Al Messerschmidt

Sapp had come from humble beginnings to become an inspiration to those close to him, as he finally broke through the chains of poverty thanks to the initial wealth he amassed through the NFL. However, what he retained after retirement, a mansion in Orange County, worth $7 million, was sold for only $2.1 million at an auction.

Jay Cutler – Illinois, Rental $10K Per Month

American football quarterback Jay Cutler, played for 12 seasons in the league before deciding to close the curtain, following a fruitful career. Had you no idea who Cutler was, you might have thought he’d be living in a luxurious condominium or country mansion. Well, technically, he is living in luxury, but on a swank property he rents with his family for $10k per month.

Why spend so much money for a property and pay for homeowners’ insurance, when you can have the same luxury by simply renting? The rental mansion, located in Illinois, offers 5 bedrooms, an atrium, and a well-polished garden. Cool… if you follow his nearsighted logic.

Frank Gore – Florida, Estimated $1.7 Million

Frank Gore, a former Indianapolis Colts running back, couldn’t care less when he sold his elegant Mediterranean-style mansion for a sum of $1.5 million. When he first purchased the property, back in 2008, he sealed the deal for $1.7 million. A decade later, its value had dropped $200k, a small fraction of the original sale, but a lot still considering how the value should have appreciated in time, especially seeing as he acquired it during a drop in the market.

Getty Images Photo by Kevin C. Cox

But Frank Gore didn’t seem to mind much. The amazing Florida property boasts 8 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, a theater room, an entertaining area, and a swimming pool. He sold it and didn’t look back.

Devin Hester – Chicago, Estimated $2.6 Million

Before Devin Hester made a name for himself in the NFL as a top performing wide receiver, he first made an impact as a kick returner. At times, people tend to forget that when he first entered the league he was signed up as a corner-back.

The turn of tides has been largely favorable for Hester, but when the time came for him to adapt to the vicissitudes of life, he decided to sell his grand home in Chicago. This beautiful mansion has 6 bedrooms, a lovely waterfall, and a relaxing hot tub. He sold it for $1.8 million.

Aaron Rodgers – Chevrolet Camaro, Estimated $35K

Green Bay Packers‘ quarterback Aaron Rodgers is way cooler than we thought. After starting his career, mainly as a backup to Brett Favre, he has finally put himself in the front seat, now leading the NFL as its all-time regular season career passer-rating leader.

Rodgers has a penchant for fast cars. This is manifested by his ownership of a custom 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. The regal ride of the NFL star features a modern entertainment system, a navigation system, and a top of the line security system. Of course, he wouldn’t forget his team’s logo on the back, for inspiration.

Reggie Bush – Los Angeles, Estimated $5.7 Million

The former running back for the New Orleans Saints had a very successful career in the NFL, and along with it came a fortune large enough to keep him set for life. Reggie Bush’s credit must be highly rated by his banks, but it doesn’t seem like that’s how he wants to transact when he procures properties. He didn’t need a mortgage, nor did he consider one.

When he bought this grand property in Los Angeles, with an estimated value of $5.7 million, he had no qualms regarding loans or insurance payments whatsoever. He acquired the 4,831-square-foot-mansion in 2007 with ease.

Adam Podlesh – Illinois, Estimated $880K

Adam Podlesh is an overall standout athlete. The former American football punter for the Chicago Bears also holds a track and field record from his high school days in the Pittsburgh Sutherland High School. He only played in the NFL from 2007 to 2014, though.

Alamy Stock Photo

Podlesh got a great deal in acquiring his Illinois home in 2011, sealing the sale for only $797.5K.  This lavish pad features 5 bedrooms, a family room with a fireplace, a media room, a gym, and much more. Later on, he sold it for $900,000, making a quick return on his investment.

Dwight Freeney – Indiana, Estimated $1.9 Million

This defensive end/linebacker did not wait too long to celebrate upon signing his first contract with the NFL. After concluding a deal with the Indiana Colts, Dwight Freeney’s list of priorities included purchasing an estate in Indiana for an estimated $1.9 million.

Alamy Stock Photo

However, when the Colts had finally decided to let him go after a decade of partnership, Freeney decided to put this luxurious property up for sale. The 10,000 sq. foot property is still up for grabs, a cool choice if you’re the type who likes modern designs for a home.

Patrick Peterson – Chevrolet Camaro, Estimated $25K

Patrick Peterson loves to collect cars, but not just any cars. The corner-back for the Arizona Cardinals has got a definite thing for the Chevrolet Camaro, and saying that he likes them would be quite an understatement. He’s downright passionate about them!

He owns not just one or two of the sexy beast of a vehicle, but ten! And each one cost him an estimated $25k. His very first Camaro was painted in honor of his team’s colors – red and black.  Chevrolet must be exceedingly pleased with this incredible collection of their fleet. We wouldn’t be surprised if he became the car’s brand ambassador one day.

Jared Allen – Arizona, Estimated $3.5 Million

The former defensive end for the Chicago Bears is a five-time Pro-Bowl and four-time All-Pro selection. He played in the NFL for twelve years, and during that period, like his peers, had made handsome property acquisitions.

Alamy Stock Photo

Unfortunately, Jared Allen is one of those who could have greatly benefited from hiring a financial adviser to protect his hefty investments. He is the former owner of an Arizona property worth $3.5 million. By the time he decided to put it up for sale, he was able to scoop a relatively meager price of only $1.6 million.

James Harrison – Smart ForTwo, Estimated 14K

A professional football player with a practical automobile sounds like an odd combination to most of us, but that’s what James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers has opted for. He purchased a Smart ForTwo car instead of a Benz or a Rolls Royce.

He’s the proud owner of an automobile that he got for only $14K, which is almost unheard of for someone earning so much. Perhaps he’d rather have a bank account he can lean on for a long time, rather than a million dollar car that demands even more money to maintain. James Harrison is a smart man.

Matthew Stafford – Atlanta, Estimated $3.9 Million

If you’re keen on buying a piece of real estate formerly owned by one of your favorite NFL stars, check out the Atlanta Mansion of the Detroit Lions’ quarterback, Matthew Stafford. The lavish house has an expensive price tag of $3.9-million, boasting 8 bedrooms, 11 baths, a theater, and a huge pool with a wet bar.

Getty Images Photo by Aaron J. Thornton

Stafford has decided to sell this property, but this isn’t necessarily a sad story. The NFL star is not letting go of it to pay off a nagging debt, nor are there any signs of financial duress for the league’s highest paid athlete.

Lance Briggs – Arizona, Estimated $2.7 Million

Straight from Arizona College, Lance Briggs signed up to play for the Chicago Bears as a linebacker and then spent his whole 12-year career with the team. During his tenure in the NFL, Briggs presumably lived a life of luxury and affluence, which may be the reason behind his minimal regard for financial investments.

Consider yourself lucky if you snap a deal with Lance Briggs’ Arizona property. That is because the linebacker for the Chicago Bears is selling his lavish estate for less than what he should get.  Listed at $2.4-million, Briggs’ mansion includes a gourmet kitchen, a wet bar, and a resort-like backyard.

Michael Oher – BMW 7-Series, Estimated $81K

Michael Oher was featured in the award-winning film ‘The Blind Side’. His high school life and freshman year of college were the subject of Michael Lewis’s book, on which the film was based. He has quite the personality. He is popular; in fact, he is considered one of the biggest names in Super Bowl. The American football offensive tackle is now a free agent, but he has previously played with the Tennessee Titans, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Carolina Panthers.

His sports skills made him popular and earned him an incredible fortune. Oher is the proud owner of a BMW 7-Series, worth $81,000. Note that a luxury car like Oher’s has expensive insurance, too.

Mike Singletary – California, Estimated $3.3 Million

Considered one of the most competitive linebackers in the National Football League (NFL), Mike Singletary amassed an incredible fortune out of a career that spanned for more than a decade, and continues even now as a coach.

He’s the proud owner of a 5,000-square-foot property in California, worth $3.3 million. His amazing mansion has a luxury spa and a huge custom pool, but he decided to put it on the market. It’s taking a bit of time to be sold, although there is no doubt it is catching potential buyer’s attention with its elegance. Perhaps he should reconsider selling this beauty, or lower its price.

Jeff Garcia – California – Estimated $5.8 Million

Another NFL player who joined several teams throughout his career is Jeff Garcia. From the Calgary Stampeders (1994-1998) to the Houston Texans, the retired quarterback made wise investments along the way. Thankfully, he was also able to straighten out his life and career after having had many run-ins with the law, living life in the fast lane.

One of his best investments is his Rancho Santa Fe estate, that has an impressive private tennis and basketball court. The estate is for sale, with a price of $5.8 million.

J.J. Watt – Texas, Estimated $800K

Do not be deceived by a description of J.J. Watt’s house in Texas as a cabin, for it is not the typical cabin that first comes to anyone’s mind. It refers to the $800k log cabin, a ‘no-frills’ location, despite the elevator and 4500 square feet of space. He says he likes to train there, because being out in the middle of nowhere with no distractions creates an optimal environment, that helps him focus on his goals.

Although it’s described as a minimalistic cabin, its value is only a tad lower than other NFL athletes’ mansions or prime condominiums. It must be the best cabin you’ll ever find, with the best amenities, and he’s even planning on building a gym in the barn.

Charles Johnson – Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Estimated $209K

It was a childhood dream of Charles’ Johnson to play for the NFL, where he’s now a veteran wide receiver. He first played for the Green Bay Packers, and has been a free agent since 2013.

Alamy Stock Photo & Shutterstock

Another dream Charles Johnson has fulfilled, having earned more than enough dough through football, is to have a collection of sports cars – specifically owning a Lambo. His Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is his favorite of the lot, and it is estimated at $209k. These babies are not easy to maintain, but luckily, Charles Johnson has more than enough to sustain his hobby.

John Fox – Charlotte, Estimated $7 Million

John Fox had spent considerable time as the head coach of the Carolina Panthers, taking over for George Seifert in 2002, following a disastrous record. He immediately made considerable improvements to the team, even leading them to Super Bowl XXXVIII, despite losing in the end.

Alamy Stock Photo

After 8 years with the Carolina Panthers, top management decided not to renew his contract.  He had made huge investments by that time and decided to let go of a gorgeous piece of Charlotte real estate that is estimated at $7 million. The lavish Spanish-styled mansion offers a home theater, an infinity pool, and multiple rooms and baths that used to accommodate his family and friends.

Eric Berry – Chevrolet Tahoe, Estimated $47K

Eric Berry has established himself as a professional football player for the NFL with a career spanning eight years (and counting). He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but, not easily deterred, he worked his hardest on making a return to such a highly competitive sport. He was named AP Comeback Player of the Year in 2015.

One of his notable purchases is a black Chevrolet Tahoe that has show-stopping 26″ Giovanna Dalar 6V wheels. Berry loves his ride, despite how much his views on life and his career have drastically changed since his life threatening illness. Its value is estimated at around $47K.

Todd Gurley – Chatsworth, Estimated $1.8 Million

Todd Gurley is an American football running back for the Los Angeles Rams. He’s been playing for L.A. ever since his entry to the pros, drafted as the 10th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.  Despite suffering from a torn ACL, Gurley still managed to outperform his peers, and was voted as the Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Getty Images/Instagram/@tg4hunnid

When it came to purchasing his home in Chatsworth, Todd Gurley had absolutely nothing in mind but fun and relaxation. It’s the perfect place for him to unwind and convalesce from the wear and tear that comes with the job. His $1.8- million property has amazing amenities, like a lovely walk-in closet and a huge pool with a waterfall slide.

Nate Clements – Hummer H2, Estimated $63K

The American football cornerback was one of the top prospects of the 2001 NFL Draft, where he had signed to play for the Buffalo Bills for five years. He played for the San Francisco 49ers next, and then the Cincinnati Bengals, in a career that spanned a little over a decade.

Alamy Stock Photo

Clements’ contract with the San Francisco 49ers should have been enough to afford him a very comfortable life, totaling an astounding $80 million. This allowed him to purchase and maintain a collection of muscle cars, like his favorite 2006 Hummer H2, worth $63,000, without making a dent  in his bank account.

Greg Olsen – North Carolina – $1.7 Million

Greg Olsen currently plays as a tight end for the Carolina Panthers, a position he has held since 2011. He holds the NFL record as the first tight end in the league’s history to record three consecutive seasons, with 1,000 receiving yards.

For undisclosed reasons though, Olsen is letting go of his grand estate in North Carolina, with an asking price of $1.7 million. It has an in-house library with a cool wine cellar and a beautiful landscape. It would be nice to read a book by its veranda in the shade, and sip wine in the twilight.

Ray Rice – Porsche Panamera, Estimated $146K

Some athletes have a wild streak that can be hard to contain, especially when reinforced by their acquisition of money and power. In situations like those, they end up losing some money; there are lawyers to pay, damages demanded by aggrieved parties and whatnot.  It can be a real sticky situation once you’re in it.

We’re impressed with Ray Rice’s wide collection of luxury cars, though. The running back for the Baltimore Ravens is a proud owner of a posh Porsche Panamera Turbo, valued at $146,000. Hopefully, he will be able to settle his legal battles with his wife and get back to focusing on his football career.

James Harrison – Shadyside, Estimated $1.8 Million, Estimated $1.8 Million

As an American Football linebacker, James Harrison was able to rake in millions of dollars over a period of fifteen years to live his dream of comfort and luxury. Playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was able to win two Super Bowls, and was named Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.

Not bad for Harrison, who has made an investment in real estate property, acquiring an estate in Shadyside that is estimated at $1.8 million. He had his mansion remodeled and customized, and it now features multiple bedrooms and baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, and many other features.

Clinton Portis – Maserati Gran Turismo, Estimated $143K

Whenever Clinton Portis feels down, perhaps all he has to do is look at his garage where his Maserati Gran Turismo is parked. It is a remnant of his glory days, when he was cheered on as a running back for the NFL for nine years.

Getty Images Photo by Greg Fiume

Clinton Portis no longer plays football. He retired in 2010 and has since filed for bankruptcy. He used to have a great collection of cars, like this Maserati, and we wonder what things he’d do to change the direction of his life if given the chance to relive his opulent days.

Chandler Jones – Paradise Valley, Estimated $2.9 Million

Chandler Jones gets paid a lot of money as defensive for the Arizona Cardinals. He’s now on his sixth year in the league, going stronger for his seventh, with a bright future ahead.

Getty Images/Instagram/@chanjones55

On the day he decided to invest some of his hard earned money, he got lucky. Apparently, his charm goes beyond the football field and into sales, as he was able to score a million dollar discount for a property he purchased in Paradise Valley. From its original asking price of $3.9 million, he got it down to $2.9 million. It’s got electronic pocket doors and a high-tech media room.

Alfred Morris – 1991 Mazda 626, Estimated $2

Maybe Alfred Morris is one of those guys who remains content as long as the things he owns still get the job done. Or, perhaps, he’s just used to being so modest.

Alamy Stock Photo

Although Alfred Morris is earning a fortune by playing as a running back for the Dallas Cowboys, he’s still maintaining a simple lifestyle, akin to his days before signing up with the NFL. Shockingly, Morris is still driving the 1991 Mazda 626 which he bought for only $2 during his college years. If it gets him from A to B, he can’t fathom spending money on a Ferrari to do the same job.

NaVorro Bowman – San Jose, Estimated $3.1 Million

NaVorro Bowman has been playing in the NFL since 2010, but the linebacker is currently a free agent, eyeing greener pastures. He’s played mostly for the San Francisco 49ers, a span wherein he has acquired his San Jose estate, which he remodeled into a $3.1 million luxury property.

This used to be an old ancestral home that was built in the early 1950s. He turned it into a modern beauty, with a large pool fronting it and a lawn surrounded with coconut trees upon a well-maintained garden. Bowman has increased its value in such a short time!

Randy Moss – Rhode Island, Estimated $749K

Randy Moss’ acquisition of this Rhode Island property is a happy story, that ought to be an example for other football stars with millions to splurge, about the  great potential to increase the value of their investment.

The former wide receiver of the San Francisco 49ers must have taken good advice from friends, with sufficient experience in handling finances, for he was able to resell his property with a jaw dropping 40% increase from its original value. His asking price for it is now at $749K, and it’s the perfect place to raise a family.

Adrian Peterson – BMW 750i, Estimated $82K

The running back for the Washington Redskins, Adrian Peterson, knows how to put his hard-earned money to good use. In fact, he has an impressive fleet of luxury cars, his favorite being the customized 2006 BMW 750i, which cost him $82,000. As such, we can just imagine how enormous his parking area is.

Moving forward, it would be great if Peterson could keep away from the type of expensive lawsuits that must have cost him dearly in the past. Thankfully, he still has most of his savings intact and, as long as he learns from his mistakes, the sky is still the limit.

NaVorro Bowman – Porsche Panamera, Estimated $170K

We know NaVorro Bowman has a good eye for real estate, based on an old house he remodeled extensively. But the linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers has a penchant for expensive cars, too, a trait not too uncommon among rich pro-football athletes.

Among his collection of luxury cars, his favorite is the Porsche Panamera, that is estimated to be worth around $170K. We’re not sure how many cars he actually owns, that are in stow in his grand residence, but he must have a large garage and high maintenance costs for its upkeep.

Aaron Rodgers – California, Estimated $8 Million

The American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers loves muscle cars, especially his Camaro. He also likes to spend his money on real estate, clearly with a keen eye on the future.

This $8 million property stands out among his several million-dollar investments. It is located in California and is absolutely stunning. This mansion comes with 6 bedrooms, 4 baths, a huge swimming pool, a spa with a sauna, an entertainment room, and a beauty salon. It’s like a shopping mall downsized to a luxury house. It’s quite obvious that Rodgers wants every bit of comfort and elegance in one place.

Frank Gore – Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé, Estimated $350K

As a professional football player for the NFL, Frank Gore is the 49er’s all-time leader in rushing yards and touchdowns. He’s been actively competing since 2005, and is in the final years of his successful career. It’s the phase where one normally looks back to reassess past investments, reap dividends, and re-evaluate financial placements.

Frank Gore has already invested in real estate, and his line up of luxury cars can easily make one envious. The most recent addition to his collection is the 2010 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé, with an all black exterior instead of the typical two-tone original paint job. Even without the color change, this high-end gentleman’s car costs around $350,000.

Jamaal Charles – Lamborghini Gallardo, Estimated $250K

As if the Lamborghini Gallardo weren’t already a one-of-a-kind automobile, Jamaal Charles had to make sure his car stood out even more.

The American football running back is currently a free agent, but he’s not letting that hold him back from living in luxury. He first signed up with the Kansas City Chiefs, and last played for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He can afford to relax a bit and ride around in his baby blue racing machine, with its customized sound system and advanced security system.

David Johnson – Iowa House, Estimated $850,000

Arizona Cardinals Running Back, David Johnson, inked a four-year deal with the team way back in 2015. That means that millions of dollars were guaranteed to Johnson, but despite this promising income, he and his family continue to live a modest lifestyle. The idea of owning a shiny lineup of cars and vast properties has not yet become part of his vocabulary. Soon enough, we’ll see if he’s able to maintain living way below his means.

He owns only one house in Iowa, where he was born, valued at $850,000. He drives only one car, a BMW X6 M Masonry. It’s a setup that’s efficient and easy for him to maintain.

Landon Collins – California City Apartment, $1.7 Million

Landon Collins, the New York Giants safety, owns one of the most expensive apartments in California. It is located at the top floor of a high-rise building, that offers him a stellar view of the area, city lights co-mingling with the stars at night. It has two bedrooms, built on hardwood flooring, and a fashionable pool awaits him on the rooftop.

Whenever Landon Collins decides to drive around the city, he has the option to take his Buick or BMW. Both are cool choices, not too conspicuous, but certainly with a touch of class.

LeGarrette Blount – Custom Chevy, Estimated $44,995

When LeGarrette Blount wasn’t knocking down guys in the football field amidst thousands of chants, he would ride this custom Chevy, that is, in itself, a knockout.

His favorite car may not be ideal for many, but that’s just how the American football running back rolls. He just signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, and may add another ride to his list of eye-catching custom cars. But right now, this Chevy is his favorite, with its huge wheels, red colored rims, and chassis, customized to lift the casing up like a pickup truck.

Malcolm Butler – 2015 Chevy Colorado, $27,985

Once in a while, we get to read about some nice things that still exist in the world of extremely wealthy super athletes. Even in the NFL, it is not always about swag, or athletes trying to steal attention from each other, making a fashion statement.

Take this story about Tom Brady gifting Malcolm Butler with a 2015 Chevy Colorado, for example. Brady earned this vehicle as a reward for the third Super Bowl MVP achievement of his football career, and he simply wanted to share his blessings with a modest guy like Butler, who deserves more than he’s willing to accept.

Marcus Mariota – Luxury Cottage in Hawaii, $2.45 Million

Marcus Mariota’s is not just any cottage, on any ordinary beachfront. This is in Hawaii, his beautiful island birthplace, and the luxury cottage has an open floor design, which is complemented by 3,196 sq. ft. of space. It has vaulted ceilings and expensive sofas, behind wide windows that grant a panoramic view of the Kailua Beach.

The luxury cottage is estimated to be worth $2.45 million. But the American football quarterback is only 25 years of age, and has been signed with the Tennessee Titans since 2015. He is the first Hawaiian-born athlete to win the Heisman Trophy.

Travis Kelce – Mercedes Benz, $315,000

Travis Kelce didn’t just waltz his way into earning so much with the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the product of a last minute decision, and from there on he had to prove his worth, until he was able to establish his distinct value in the team.

When the Chiefs ultimately decided to sign him to a multi-million dollar deal, they already knew firsthand that they had the right man for the job. Travis Kelce followed up by starting a collection of luxury cars, which included specimens like this AMG class SUV truck car by Mercedes Benz, that he bought for $315,000. He knows he deserves it.

Sedrick Ellis – Ferrari California, Estimated $250K

Sedrick Ellis only spent five years in the NFL, mostly with the New Orleans Saints, but also briefly with the Chicago Bears, as a defensive tackle. But in that short span of time, he was able to buy a Ferrari California for an estimated worth of $250,000.

This is just a quick example of how much one can earn in a single year if given the chance to play with the big dogs. With proper financial management, knocking guys down in the field for a couple of years could really set you off to a great start in life. Ellis retired back in 2013.

Antonio Brown – Hollywood, Estimated $6.6 Million

Antonio Brown has been loyal to the Pittsburgh Steelers from day one of his professional career as wide receiver. He’s been playing for eight years now, and just last year he inked a five-year contract with the team through the 2021 season. His contract back in 2012 was a $42.5 million extension with an $8 million signing bonus.

A minor fraction of the millions he’s earned is materialized in the form of a Hollywood mansion he purchased for an estimated $6.6 million. The luxury house has 10 baths, a built-in synagogue, a home cinema, a media room, a huge guesthouse, and two swimming pools.
